On Wednesday, February 22nd, various agencies across the Johnson County region came to our school for Career Day for all 7th-12th grade students in the gym.











On Wednesday, February 22nd, various individuals came to the school to talk to all 7th - 12th graders about their careers. Thank you to Chad Grammer, Whitney Smith, Sarah Carter, Brittney Stewart, Doug Wickham, and Cody Bruns for sharing your career with our students. We also had an FFA State Officer come on Thursday, February 23rd to talk to students.









Last Thursday, March 2nd, we honored our previous and new National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society members. National Honor Society empowers students with the knowledge and skills to be leaders in their school and community. Selection is based on scholarship, leadership, service, character, and other criteria. We are pleased to present our 2022-2023 NHS/NJHS members.

The 7th-grade students put their math lesson to real-world application use last Friday, February 24th. They learned how to use indirect measurement to determine the heights of tall objects by measuring the height of a person and the shadows cast by the person and the tall object. The class discovered that the height of the light pole was about 33 feet tall.

Elementary students learned about isopods yesterday during Science Club. All students had a wonderful time. They asked Mrs. Askew if they could have Science Club every day!






Class 1 District 8 Girls Basketball Tournament tonight. Lady Indians battle Kingsville at 5:00PM. Fans and students please use the designated seating area for our school.
