Junior High Basketball and Volleyball had their sports banquet on Tuesday, December 13th. Congratulations to all of the players and coaches for their hard work this season.

12/16, Varsity Basketball travels to Sedalia for the WK Shootout at State Fair College. La Monte vs Chilhowee. Girls play at 4:30pm, Boys at 6:00PM. Bus departs at 3:00PM.

12/15, Varsity basketball home games tonight! Lakeland Vikings vs Chilhowee Indians. Game start at 5:30PM.

William D. Gordon Holiday Tournament Brackets for 12/27-12/30 at Drexel.



In October, students in Mrs. Askew's ELA classes were asked to write essays or speeches for the Annual VFW Patriot's Pen contest. Schools were allowed to send one entry per fifteen student submissions to their local VFW post. School winners were Jasmine Young, Hailey Terry, and Alexis Miller. The local post received entries from four different districts, and after judging, Alexis Miller was selected as the first-place winner for VFW Post 2513 in Warrensburg, Missouri, and was sent on for judging at the state level. On Friday, December 9, Alexis Miller was presented with a certificate and Visa Gift Card for her accomplishments.


12/12, Home Varsity basketball game tonight! Crest Ridge vs Chilhowee. Girls tip off at 5:30pm, followed by boys.

PreSchool through 6th Grade students will be able to shop the annual PTO Christmas Store. This store is for students to be able to shop for the families. All items are $1. Students will shop the store and a helper will assist them with wrapping. Please send a list of names students should shop for. The store will be open from 12-2 daily Tuesday the 13th-Thursday the 15th.

The Junior High Volleyball and Basketball Sports Banquet will be December 13th at 6 pm at the Baptist Church in Chilhowee. Supper will be served. Friends and family welcome.

12/9, The Lady Indians travel to Rich Hill tonight for a Girls Only night of basketball. Tip-off is at 5:30PM. Bus departure is scheduled for 3:45PM.

The Chilhowee R-IV School District would like to congratulate the following students for being selected for Artist of the Month for November. Students were chosen anonymously by the teachers and staff members based on creativity, craftsmanship, and hard work displayed in their artwork.


Chilhowee R-IV School District is feeling festive right before our Christmas break. Please see the image below for our Holiday Spirit Dress Up days for Monday, December 12th - Friday, December 16th. We hope to see everyone dressed up next week.

Congratulations to our three Scholar Bowl students for competing at Miami on December 7th. They won two out of three sets and scored an impressive 200-290 in the set they lost. We are extremely proud of Mariana Askew, Ayden Vanderford, and Luke Heaper. Awesome job!

PTO Trash bags are in! If you have not picked up your order yet, please stop by the front office. Thank you.

PTO trash bags will be available tonight after the concert in the cafeteria for those who ordered. Please make sure you pick up your trash bags tonight if possible. The concert begins at 6:00 and should be done around 7:15-7:30. Mrs. Dillon will be in the cafeteria beginning at 7:00 p.m. for pick up.

Scholar Bowl students will be competing at Miami School tomorrow. We will be leaving school at 3:35 and returning at approximately 8:00 pm. Please let Mrs. Askew know if your scholar bowl student cannot play. We will be stopping for dinner on the way home and concessions will be available at the game.
