A valid Sports Physical is required to be on file prior to a student participating in any athletic program, that includes practices and competitions. The 2021-2022 fall season opens for High School on August 8th and Junior High on August 16th. Golden Valley Clinic in Clinton is offering FREE sports physicals starting July 1st! Please call 660-890-7300 to schedule your child for an appointment. These will fill up fast!

Attention: Juniors and Seniors
If you are planning on participating in the School to Work program during the 2021-2022 school year, school to work handbooks are available in the school office. You may stop by and pick one up between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. between now and June 30th. These must be turned in to Mrs. Dillon prior to you being able to leave for school to work in the fall. Unable to pick them up in June? August pick up dates and times will be sent out later. Have a great summer!

The Chilhowee R-IV School District is pleased to welcome our new Chilhowee Early Childhood Center preschool teacher, Mrs. Kerry Murphy, to our district. Mrs. Murphy taught Social Studies back in 2011 for a few years, and then became a stay-at-home mom to her two boys, Davis and Josiah. She has also watched other children in her home during that time. She is excited to begin teaching preschool this August, and we are so excited to have her in our district!
The 2021-2022 Lady Indians participated in the Hermitage 2-Day Basketball Shoot-out. The overnight event served as a team bonding experience and some quality basketball competitions. The Lady Indians finished 3-3 and had fun along the way. Special thanks to Chaperones Becky Skidmore, Deanna Owsley, Barb Stegner, and Darlene Buss for making everything go smoothly! #FamilyStrong
With the help of local Chilhowee organizations and the Johnson County United Way, Chilhowee School will offer a Kindergarten Prep Preschool Program this school year! Please stay tuned for more details.
Weight conditioning starts tomorrow morning, 6am-7am, and is open to Chilhowee students entering 7-12th grades (girls & boys). Open gym is to follow from 7am-8am.
Reminder: Youth Volleyball Camp starts today Monday, 7th -Friday, 9th from 2:45-3:45 for upcoming 3rd-7th graders. High school volleyball players please be at school by 2:35 to help.

Reminder that summer school begins tomorrow, June 2nd. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast and classes begin at 8:00 a.m. All students will need to enter through the gym lobby doors and then report to the cafeteria. Summer school will dismiss at 2:30 daily. The last day of summer school is June 30th. Masks are optional during the summer school session. More information will come home with elementary students about field trips prior to the first one.
Boys Varsity basketball will practice June 1st from 3pm-5pm. There will be a parent meeting immediately following practice at 5 PM to meet Coach Grammer and go over expectations for the summer and upcoming basketball season. If parents have any questions prior to the meeting, feel free to email Coach Grammer at cgrammer44@gmail.com
Tonight's "Meet the Coach" event at 6PM has been postponed. Another date will be scheduled in the near future.
Chilhowee is proud to announce Chad Grammer as the new Head Varsity Basketball Coach for the Boys Varsity 2021-2022 season! All parents and players are invited to "Meet the Coach" night at the Chilhowee Gym next Monday, May 24th @ 6:00PM. Please attend if possible.
Chilhowee Youth Volleyball Summer Camp is June 7th-9th, we will be opening that up for up coming 7th grades as well. Please call the school at 660-678-4511 to enroll your students for camp.
