Huge shout out to Central Bank for putting on their Reality Check event for our juniors and seniors this morning! Our students were given a job, marital status, kids, and their monthly take-home amount. Each student then had to visit housing, insurance, car dealership, groceries, utilities, child care, clothing, student loans, charity, entertainment, and the bank to see if they could budget all their needs for the month. It was an eye-opening experience for many of them!

The Scholastic Book Fair is HERE! It will be open Monday, March 4th, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, March 5th - Friday, March 8th during school hours. Chilhowee PTO will hold its annual School Carnival on Saturday, May 4th. Over the years, the carnival has been held at different times of the day. We are seeking input on what time of day to hold the carnival. We want to ensure it is at a time when the most people can attend. Thank you for your help!

Yearbook staff will pass out the yearbook order forms this Friday. These forms can be returned with cash, check, or purchased online. If a parent/guardian wants to purchase one online, there is a code on these forms that you fill out when you go to the listed website. Orders will be due by Friday, May 24th.

Today a group of our high school students were able to tour the Warrensburg Area Career Center (WACC). During the junior and senior years of high school, Chilhowee students have the opportunity to apply to attend WACC. Those students that are accepted get to attend programs in Health Science, Automotive Collision, Automotive Service, Construction, Business, and Computer Science.
The Lady Indians basketball season came to an end with a 43-34 loss to Leeton at the C1D7 Tournament. They finished the season with a 22-6 record.

Due to the girls district quarterfinals game scheduled for tonight at 7:30pm in Appleton City, the February Board of Education meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb 26 at 7pm.
The Indians Boys Basketball season came to an end with a loss to Kingsville in the Class 1 District 9 Tournament. The final score was 69-32. They finished the season with an overall record of 4-23.
