The Neosho College basketball camp starts tomorrow at 10:00am. For those girls that have signed up, please be at school at 9:30am with appropriate basketball shorts, T-shirts, and basketball shoes.
Summer football activities with Crest Ridge are under way. If you haven't connected as a parent or player through their SportsYou App yet, please make that connection to stay on top of the schedules and changes. Friendly reminder. Valid sports physicals are due for Fall Sports prior to August 7th for High School and August 14th for Junior High. A valid physical must contain the April 2023 version of the Sports Physical and Annual MSHSAA Pre Participation forms filled out in their entirety. The June FFA meeting will be Thursday, June 8 at 6 pm at the Kody Jones Pavilion at Chilhowee school. Hot dogs will be served. Come prepared for Cornhole and water games. Parents are encouraged to attend.
Who's hungry?! We will be serving free meals to anyone 18 and under at the school from June 5th-June 30th. Breakfast will be served from 7:30am-8:00am, and Lunch will be served from 11:30am-12:00pm.
It's that time of year again! If your student has an expiring or expired sports physical, please ensure the school has a new valid physical on file before the first practice of the respective season. Fall HS Sports starts August 7th, and Fall JH Sports starts Aug 14th. Please ensure both new April 2023 revised forms are being turned in for both the Sports Physical portion and the MSHSAA Pre Participation portion. Both must be complete before an athlete can participate in practices or contests. Our 5th graders celebrated their DARE Graduation at the Johnson County Fairgrounds last Tuesday, May 16th. Thank you to Deputy Hensen for all you do for our students, school and community.
Chilhowee R-IV is please to introduce you to our 2022-2023 Support Staff Teacher of the Year and our Teacher of the Year. Our Support Staff Teacher of the Year is Cassie Wilcox, pictured on the right. Cassie has been an amazing long-term substitute and has been helping us daily the entire school year. She loves our students, faculty, and school. She has done an amazing job filling in for us and we could not have done this year successfully without her. Our Teacher of the Year is Taryn Thornley, pictured on the left. Taryn is our amazing FFA/Agriculture teacher. Taryn spends so many countless hours pouring yourself into our students, staff, community, and school. She is a huge asset to our school and community. We appreciate both of these ladies so much, and are so honored that they are a part of our Chilhowee family. Congratulations, Taryn and Cassie.

All students are participating in Field Day this Wednesday, May 17th in the morning from 8:15 - 12:00 p.m. Please make sure your child is wearing weather appropriate clothes, while following dress code, and that they have a change of clothes as there are some water games. They may bring hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, a towel, and a water bottle.

Reminder, Girls college basketball camp signup ends this Friday, May 19th. If interested, please register at the main office with your $50 camp fee. This is an awesome experience with three college level coaches that teach life skills, basketball skills, and a lot of fun mixed in.
