Summer school enrollment is open! If you have not already done so, and plan to have your student attend, please send in your forms as soon as possible! If new forms are needed, please let your child's teacher or the front office know.

The Scholastic BOGO Book Fair is coming back to Chilhowee! Save the date for May 13-15. It will be open in the gym during the school day and during special events. https://www.scholastic.com/bf/chilhoweeschoolr2

Celebrate the last day of school with us on Friday, May 15th after the awards ceremonies! Enjoy a picnic with hot dogs and hamburgers provided by the Johnson County Cattleman’s Association, plus sides and pop from the school. Please call the main office by April 30th to RSVP!

End of the Year Preschool Celebration! We invite Preschool students and their families to attend the end of the year celebration on May 13, 2026, at 5 PM.

Chilhowee R-IV has been notified that the Chilhowee Baptist Church will be open for those who need shelter if seek shelter warnings are issued.
Out of an abundance of caution and varying weather forecasts, ongoing communication with neighboring school districts, and recent weather impacts in our area, Chilhowee R-IV School District will be dismissing at 2 PM. 1:55 Car riders will be dismissed, 1:57 bus riders will dismiss, 2:00 high school drivers dismiss.
Preschool enrollment is now open! If you have a child who will attend Kindergarten in the 2027-2028 school year, or will be 4 by December 1, please contact the main office to request paperwork! We look forward to hearing from you.

MAP and EOC Testing will take place Tuesday, April 21st, through Friday, May 1st. Testing sessions will begin at 8:30 AM and continue again in the afternoon on those dates, so please plan accordingly. Makeup testing is scheduled for May 4th–8th, which will also be finals week for all 7th–12th-grade students who have to take finals.

Reminder about field trip t-shirts. Please send your money for your child's t-shirt by tomorrow. If you are unable to pay, please reach out to your child's teacher. Also, please remember to send the permission slip back as soon as you can. Thank you.
Kindergarten screening is coming! April 20, 2026 from 9 AM to Noon. Please call the office to set up an appointment.

Preschool had some special visitors on Thursday. It was an adventure holding baby chicks. They were hatched by incubator at Ms. Susan's house.

Mrs. Askew's Class wrote essays for the West Central Electric Co-op's 2026 YouthTour, and Hayley Jenkins was one of eight finalists. Last night, all eight finalists read their essays at the West Central Electric Corporation Office in Higginsville. Hayley Jenkins WON 1st place! She will now go to Washington DC this summer. We are so excited for her and this opportunity!
