CHS Families; In alignment with the recent Johnson County Health mask mandate, students will be required to wear masks/face coverings in all campus locations except the following two:
1) When in a classroom with their specific class cohort.
2) When eating breakfast or lunch in their assigned morning classroom or the cafeteria. Students already spend most of their day in classrooms with their class cohort, where masks are not required. Therefore this change should be only a minor adjustment. Thank you for your continued support.
CHS Newsworthy: JCCHS Board of Trustees voted unanimously to reissue a countywide Face Covering Order. This order is very similar to the original order that expired in early September, with a few changes regarding enforcement. The order will go into effect on Monday, Oct. 12 at 12:01 a.m. and last until it is voted to to be rescinded.
This face covering order requires all residents, age 5 and older, to wear a face covering or mask in any public location while indoors, and in outdoor spaces where social distancing is difficult to maintain.

JH Basketball practices are still on for tonight, 10/5, Monday. Girls practice is from 5:15pm - 6:45pm. Boys practice is from 7:00pm- 8:30pm.

CHS Newsworthy: The recent Johnson County Community Health board meeting did not result in the reinstatement of a face covering order for the county; however, the county is working on setting up a special session soon to make this an action item to allow for additional discussion and a vote. Johnson County asks that schools please remain diligent in requesting mask usage for students and staff.
