First Days of School for Chilhowee Students: District Personnel had the opportunity to discuss reopening status with Johnson County Health today. We will open school in Yellow - Level 2. CHS Families: With a heavy heart, the Chilhowee School District will need to cancel the 2020-21 high school varsity football season, this is due to lack of participation. To the coaches and young men who have been working hard to prepare for the season, take pride in your work ethic and commitment. Even in the face of adversity, you pressed on. Your fortitude is an inspiration to your school and a glimpse into your grit and spirit.

Junior High Volleyball starts August 17th @ 3:30PM. If you want to join, please attend! Bring completed physical paperwork with you for turn in if you have not done so yet. Social distancing and mask wear will be expected when possible during practices.

Attention Juniors and Seniors! Please call the school either Friday, August 14th or Monday, August 17th to talk to Mrs. Dillon about your class schedule. Please leave a message for her to call you back if she is on the phone with someone else. 7th-10th grade students please watch your school email starting Friday for your class schedules and locker numbers.

Dear Parents, Please remember we need all Chrome Books/Ipads returned to the school as soon as possible to prepare them for this coming school year. To help ensure we practice our physical distancing, our Back to School Bash will be set up differently this year. We have created 15- minute time slots that you can reserve to go into the classroom, drop off supplies and visit with the teacher. Please click on the sign-up sheet that corresponds to the grade of your child and select a time slot that works best for you and your student(s). While we encourage parents and the students to attend, we ask that additional family members not attend at this time. Please note that 7-12 grade students will be allowed time on August 24th, (during their first hour) to organize their locker. Attention: Electronic Device Return If you have not yet returned your child's Chrome Book or Ipad we need those back as soon as possible. We need time to clean them and set them up for this coming school year. You may return these to the school Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please return them to the Principal's office. Football season officially starts Monday, Aug 10th. Practice starts at 3:30PM. All players must turn in a complete physical package to be eligible. Students interested in playing must be at practice to start conditioning/preparations for the 2020 season. #fridaynightlights

Dear Chilhowee Families, We are so thankful for all the responses we have gotten about enrollment choices for this fall. We are busy making arrangements and preparing for all learning choices. We really need your help with our preparations. We know it is hard to make decisions in these tough times and want you to know we truly want what is best for your children. If you have not made a choice please fill out the form previously sent out or call the school to discuss your choice with us. If you have already made your choice but need to make a change please call the school to do so. Good afternoon Chilhowee Families, In order to help with social distancing and to better serve our students we have made some changes to our teaching assignments at the elementary level. High School Girls' Volleyball Players there will be a short, approximately 10 minute, meeting with Coach Adams in the school parking lot this Thursday evening (August 6th) at 5:00 p.m. If you are playing please make arrangements to attend.
