Tonight, Varsity Basketball kicks off their season traveling to Northwest Hughesville. Chilhowee Indians vs NW Hughesville Mustangs. Girls start at 5:30, followed by boys. Bus departs @ 4:00PM. There are no fan attendance limitations, face masks are required when social distancing is not possible. Please sit in designated school area once inside the gym. If you aren't feeling well, please stay home.
Families that wish to have one last opportunity to visit the book fair may make appointments to come in on Monday or Tuesday of next week between 8 am and 3 pm. The book fair will be closing on Tuesday. Please let the office or Mrs. Askew know if you would like to shop. Masks are mandatory inside the book fair. Below you will find the link to the schedule for our Virtual Learning Days surrounding Thanksgiving. Remember virtual learning days are different from the Monday distance learning days. Monday the 23rd & 30th will be normal distance learning days. Tuesday, November 24th, Tuesday December 1st, and Wednesday December 2nd are virtual learning days. This means your student will need to log into their classrooms and attend class through Google Meet. The schedule has been altered to keep students from being on the computer the full day yet still receive instruction from their teachers. The schedule also allows for high school and elementary to be online at different times to minimize the number of students in each household on the computer at the same time and accommodate School to Work and WACC schedules.
Please also note that WACC will not be in session November 23rd-November 27th.
A hard copy of the schedule will be sent home tomorrow with students.

Learning Lab for Junior High and High School Students: Chilhowee School will offer Learning Lab for those 7th-12th grade students who lack internet access during our virtual learning days - Nov 24, Dec 1, & Dec 2. Students will be socially distanced and masks will be required. Our goal is to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in online classes during our 3 virtual learning days. If your child plans to attend, please call the school office (660-678-4511 ext 2) to sign up. This will assist us in preparing for students who attend.
K-6 Learning Club Reminder: Chilhowee School will offer Learning Club for K-6 students who lack child care during Distance & Virtual learning days - Nov 23, Nov 24, Nov 30, Dec 1, & Dec 2. For these specific dates, we will also invite K-6 students who lack internet access to attend Learning Club. If your child is a bus rider and needs transportation to Learning Club on these dates, please call the school office (660-678-4511 ext 2) to make arrangements.
CHS Families, attached is a letter for parents and guardians regarding Covid-19 updates and an alternative schedule during the Thanksgiving season. We will also be sending a copy of the letter home with each student tomorrow, Thursday, November 19th.

The Kingsville Tiger Classic Varsity Basketball Tourney for Nov 30th - Dec 4th has been canceled to mitigate health risks. If you already gave money for wristbands to attend, it will be refunded.
Varsity Basketball added a game @ Sacred Heart on November 24th. Girls start at 5:30PM followed by boys. Fans are limited to 50 per team, players will be handing them out to the respective families. Admissions will be collected upon arrival at Sacred Heart with presentation of ticket at the gate.

Varsity Basketball Schedule Changes: 11/18 Jamboree @ Drexel is cancelled due to COVID precautions. In addition, 11/23, Montrose @ Chilhowee is canceled due to team quarantines at Montrose.
Monday, November 16 is a distance learning day
Congratulations to Coach Miller and the JH Lady Indians for a successful season. They finished with a 6-3 record and undefeated in Conference play.
11/12, The JH Lady Indians season finale is tonight! Chilhowee @ Ballard, game starts at 5:30PM. Bus departs at 3:45PM. Mask wear will be required when social distancing isn't possible.
