Chilhowee School District is currently on step 3 of 5 in creating reopening plans for this fall. We have worked with Johnson County Health, Neighboring Schools, and with a committee of parents, boards members, and staff. Additionally, we reviewed parent & community surveys to gain all perspectives. We are now working on the rough draft plan. Once the first draft is complete, we will send it out for your feedback. In the meantime, below is a link to best practices from Johnson County Community Health.

All summer Athletic activities at Chilhowee School are canceled. This includes basketball open gyms, volleyball open gyms, football conditioning, and weight lifting. Future plans will be communicated by coaches when restrictions are lifted and it's deemed safe to return.
Due to the new Johnson County mask mandates and in the interest of student safety, all volleyball open gyms have been canceled. They will resume when the restrictions are lifted.
Reminder for CHS students and families: starting tomorrow, from 8am to 3pm, June 30th (Tuesday), and July 1st (Wednesday), we will be collecting student Chromebooks and iPads as well as handing out grade cards. Please stop by the school either of these days. It is important that we receive each student's device so that we can update them for the upcoming school year. We appreciate your cooperation.
