Last night the Chilhowee Lady Indians took on the Lakeland Lady Vikings in volleyball. The varsity team won in 3 straight sets. The JV team lost in 2 sets but fought hard through both sets. Great job ladies!
Sixth grade students have been learning about the phases of the moon. They did a "delicious" representation of what the moon phases look like, Yum!
We are very excited that next Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Chilhowee FFA students will be presenting their livestock to the elementary students to teach them about the animals. This event will be taking place outside by the FFA building, however we ask that you please remember this is an educational event for our students and not open to the public. We will be sharing pictures from the day on Facebook and website for you to enjoy.
Nearly three-quarters of the earth is made up of water, and about two-thirds of our bodies are made up of water. Water is essential for life and has important and unique properties. Yesterday, students in 8th-grade Science, Physical Science, and Environmental Science did a fun lab investigating the many different properties of water. There were eight different lab stations to investigate.

9/13, The JH Volleyball Triangular scheduled at Ballard w/ Miami has been canceled for Friday Night on September 13th. This tri-meet will not be rescheduled. JH's next match will be Sept. 19th at Leesville, 5:30pm.
9/12, Lady Indians travel to Lakeland tonight for a District Volleyball Showdown. Match starts at 5:30pm. Best of luck Ladies, bring home the win!
9/11, Chilhowee hosts a JH Volleyball Triangular tonight. Miami vs Chilhowee, 5:30pm, Miami vs Kingsville 6:30pm, Kingsville vs Chilhowee, 7:30pm. Good luck ladies!
Varsity Lady Indians went 3-1 against Kingsville. Awesome job on your win! Their next game is this Thursday at 5:30pm at Lakeland.
Junior High Lady Indians went 1-2 tonight against Kingsville. Come out and support them tomorrow night at home at 5:30 pm!

Today, PE classes played capture the chicken, bean bag tag, and satellite volleyball. Everyone is loving the new PE games this year!
7th graders discovered which side lengths could make a triangle using spaghetti noodles in Math class today.
