Chilhowee Track and Field competed at Bolivar for Class 1 Districts this Saturday. Congratulations to Ryleigh Dean for jumping her way to #1, clearing 1.42 meters in the high jump! She will move on and compete at Sectionals on May 17th at Carl Junction, Missouri. Best of luck Ryleigh!
Service & Field Day is Tuesday, May 13! Bring water bottles, sunscreen, towel, hat, and sunglasses. Morning = service projects, afternoon = field day. There’ll be a water activity, so bring a towel for the ride home!
Yesterday fifth grade had their DARE graduation. Deputy Medina came and presented the students with their graduation certificates. He also awarded Maya Musyoki with the stuffed Darrin the Lion for the best DARE report. Congratulations to all the fifth graders for their hard work.
8th grade promotion is Thursday, May 15th starting at 6:30pm in the gym. Please wear nice clothes and no jeans, if possible. All 8th graders need to report to the learning commons by 6:15pm. Their last day of school is Friday, May 16th at 12:45pm.

We are very thankful that Sommer and Kayla from Johnson County 911 Dispatch were able to come and visit with our preschool, kindergarten and first grade students about what happens when someone calls 9-1-1 and when should someone call 9-1-1. Thank you ladies!

Today, our very own Mrs. Annie Dillon was presented with the Central Missouri School Counselor 2025 Counselor of the Year award at our student assembly. Mrs. Dillon is an amazing counselor, and we are so blessed to have her at Chilhowee. Congratulations, Mrs. Dillon!
Thank you to Sarah from State Fair Community College for coming and presenting to our juniors and seniors about the different math pathways at the college level. She explained what math goes with, what career, about different types of classes and their benefits, and she answered all their questions.
