Preschool has been learning about the Three Little Pigs. They built houses from straws and now are building them with bricks. How fun!

At last night’s board meeting, Mrs. Hill and Chilhowee student Gabe White wowed everyone with highlights from this year’s cooking class! Gabe has been busy learning to create all kinds of tasty treats—goodies he’s already been sharing with our staff and proudly served to the board. We’re so excited to celebrate Gabe’s hard work and the amazing learning happening in Mrs. Hill’s class this year!

Attention elementary parents: There are a couple of events this week that are outdoors. We will be watching the weather closely and will let you know if there will be a change of plans. Please make sure your student dresses appropriately for outside events.

9/16, Home JH Volleyball Triangular with Miami and Ballard tonight. Matches start at 5:30pm. Chilhowee plays at 5:30pm & 7:30pm.
On Thursday, October 9th from 2:00pm to 6:00 pm in the school's cafeteria, we will be hosting our annual blood drive. Please see the flier for more information and to sign up.
Our 2nd hour Ceramics class is hard at work on designing their coil pots. We cannot wait to see their finished products.

Our SRD, Deputy Medina is amazing! He not only helps keep our school safe, but he builds positive relationships and helps students with their work. We LOVE having Deputy Medina at our school and our students love working with him.
Preschoolers are having so much fun learning about the color white by "brushing teeth" and learning to use scissors by "cutting hair".
JH Basketball practices start in 2-3 weeks. Sports Physicals are required before the first practice for all interested 6th-8th grade players. Both Sports Physical (By Physician) and Annual MSHSAA Preparticipation forms are required to complete a valid physical. Four pages total.
Chilhowee Parent Teacher Organization is holding their first meeting of the year in the library tomorrow evening, September 3rd, at 5:30 p.m. Come hear their plans for the year and help with ideas for a great year for our students.
