The Board of Education met for its regular monthly board meeting on Wednesday September 19, 2018.  During the meeting board heard the financial update from August.  The district started the month with $1,561,621.55, expended $290,799.85, and received $105,281.98.  The district finished the month with $1,376,103.68.  

As part of the consent agenda the board approved contracts for yearbook the Warrensburg Area Career Center and approved the updated substitute list.

During the old business a review of the building progress was presented by Mr. Marnholtz.  The building is looking to be on track for an early January completion.

During new business the board heard the testing dates for the MAP and EOC exams.  The district will continue with the ACT test for all Juniors, the test will be given at the school in April.  

Mr. Marnholtz presented the updated budget information to the board.  The update included the Levy that was approved in August into the budget.  The changes to revenues and the updated expenditures adjusted the projected reserves: the budget is showing deficit spending (due to the building) with a reserve of approximately $710,000.  

The Board Policies were updated based on recommendations from the Policy service company.  The board approved updating or adding policies: DC, DJFA, GCPE, GDPE, IGAB, IGB, IGBA, IGBC, IGBCA, IGBCB, IGBE, IGBH, IGC, IL, IM.  Copies of these policy updates will be available on the district website.
